Paddock
Cars we didn't own but couldn't leave
Showroom floors, race paddocks, cars and coffee, a guitar shop in Miami with a Countach in the lobby. The metal that keeps the standard high.
Set 01
Guitars and Italians
A showroom where the walls are Stratocasters and the floor is Maranello. Every car here is worth more than the building's guitars, and it's close.

Paddock etiquette
How to behave around other people's cars
Ask before touching
Including the door handle, including the hood, including "just leaning in to see the gauges." Belt buckles and zippers scratch paint.
Shoot the details
Everyone has the three-quarter shot. Get the badge, the shifter, the wheel, the tire lettering. That's what people remember.
Talk to the owner
The story is always better than the spec sheet. Ask what it needed when they got it. Every one of them needed something.
Send us the good ones
Paddock photos from the crew get added here with credit. Paddock photos of the crew's own cars get added to the garage.
